Flexible windscreen replacement with rapid turnaround
Repair or replace
Not all damage requires a full car glass replacement—many minor chips can be repaired with a simple stone chip fix. A chip is usually suitable for repair when it’s small, located away from the driver’s eyeline, not positioned on the windscreen edge, and hasn’t spread into a crack. However, full replacement becomes the safer option if the glass is cracked, the damage reaches the edge, the heated or sensor elements are affected, or overall visibility is reduced. Delaying action can lead to MOT failure, structural weakness, or larger cracks. If you’re unsure, Autoglaze can assess the damage and advise whether a windscreen, side window, or rear window replacement is the best solution.
What we replace
We work with all vehicle makes, models, and body types, offering a complete range of windscreen, side window, and rear glass replacements. Our windscreen options include laminated and heated screens, acoustic, tinted, and solar-coated glass, as well as screens equipped with rain or light sensors. For side and rear glass, we supply tempered or laminated options, heated rear screens, and privacy or tinted glass. We also cater to specialist and commercial vehicles, with dedicated services for trade and fleet vehicle glass and agricultural machinery. If you require roof glazing, our sunroof replacement service provides the support you need.
Our fitting process
We prioritise accuracy, safety, and clean workmanship to ensure the best results for your vehicle. The process begins when you send your registration details and photos for a quick quote. We then source parts that meet OEM or OE-quality standards before carefully removing the damaged glass without affecting trims or sensors. Windscreens are bonded using approved adhesives, after which we refit all trims, sensors, and rain or light modules. A water ingress test is carried out to confirm the seal is secure, and we finish by cleaning the cabin and removing all debris. Because cure times vary depending on the adhesive used, we’ll always explain when it’s safe to drive before returning your vehicle. You can learn more about our approach in our case studies and blog.
ADAS Calibration
Many modern vehicles require ADAS calibration after a windscreen replacement, especially when a camera is mounted to the glass. Once the new screen is fitted, calibration is arranged to ensure all systems are correctly realigned. The process follows Thatcham Research guidance and is carried out by IMI-trained technicians, helping to maintain the accuracy of safety features such as lane assist, autonomous emergency braking (AEB), and traffic sign recognition.
Safety and Standards
Safety is central to every stage of our vehicle glass replacement process. We use only E-marked glass that meets ECE R43 standards and follow approved bonding and installation methods to ensure a secure fit. Leak checks are included as part of every job, and all workmanship is guaranteed for your peace of mind. Our comprehensive approach ensures your vehicle’s structural integrity and sensor accuracy remain at the highest standard.
